Comparative inventory has decreased 15% over 5 weeks. At that rate, it will take 30 months before levels return to the 5-year average which is where things stood at the end of February.

Comparative inventory has fallen for two consecutive sessions week ending July 31after four previous weeks of extreme C.I. fluctuations. This suggests that the considerable disequilibrium of the previous month may be stabilizing.
